Who can use it

You must be 21 or over. Rate My Spritz is about alcoholic drinks. Please drink responsibly (drinkaware.co.uk).

Your posts

• Only post photos you took or have the right to share.
• You keep ownership of your photos. You give us permission to show them to members on the site.
• Ratings should be your honest opinion of a spritz you actually had.

Review guidelines

• Rate the drink and the setting: taste, look, ice, glass, garnish, price and atmosphere.
• Keep it to your honest opinion of your own visit. Don't accuse a bar or its staff of dishonesty, cheating or anything illegal, and don't name or describe staff or other customers.
• No insults or abuse, even about a bad spritz. “Too much ice, watery” is fine; name-calling isn't.
• Bars and other businesses can ask us to correct or remove a post they think is unfair or untrue by emailing help@ratemyspritz.com. We'll look at it promptly and may contact the person who posted it.

Not allowed

• Illegal content of any kind.
• Offensive, hateful or unrelated content, spam, advertising, or paid or sponsored posts, including promoting offers, happy hours or events.
• Photos that show people: faces, bodies or reflections. Photos must show only the drink.
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
• Fake accounts, fake ratings or rigging rankings.
• Sharing your invite link publicly or with people under 21.
• Trying to break, overload or get around the site's security.

Reporting content and how we moderate

• Members can report any post from its ⋯ menu, including for illegal content, and report a person (for example an offensive name or harassment) from their profile. Anyone else, including people without an account, can report a post by emailing help@ratemyspritz.com.
• You can block anyone from their profile. You then won't see each other's posts, any follows between you end, and they can't rate, react to or follow you. They aren't told.
• Copyright or privacy complaints (for example, a photo of you or your work): email help@ratemyspritz.com with a link to the post and why it should be removed.
• A post reported by three people is hidden automatically until we review it. We review reports as quickly as we can and remove illegal content promptly once we're aware of it.
• We can remove content, reset offensive names, block people or delete accounts that break these rules. If we remove your post we'll email you the reason. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that email or write to help@ratemyspritz.com to appeal and we'll look at it again.

The service

Rate My Spritz is a free community site provided as it is. Scores are opinions from members, not official reviews. We aren't responsible for bars, drinks or prices, and we may change or stop the service at any time. Drink and brand names are used only to describe drinks; Rate My Spritz isn't affiliated with any drinks brand. Bar and map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence.

Rate My Spritz is a personal, non-commercial project run by an individual. It takes no payments, runs no adverts and isn't paid by any bar or drinks brand.

We remove content promptly when a court or other authority requires it, and we may share information with authorities where the law requires us to.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for what members post, for any loss from using the site or from it being unavailable, or for anything that happens at a bar. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Leaving

You can delete your account at any time from your profile page. See the privacy policy for how your data is handled.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
